I was in San Diego recovering from Polilo when this song hit the charts. It was one of the first, if not the first, rock n roll song at the start of the rock n roll era that would change music forever. What is the first rock n roll song you remember hearing? During the late 1950’s and early 1960’s Americans (and those from other countries) where saying goodbye to their loved ones … and Hello to Vietnam … Today, children of the Boat People long to say … Hello to Vietnam … their homeland, which many have never known … Once you’ve Registered on the Blog, you are classified as a ‘Contributor’.
