This is interesting. I just did a search for hotels available in Saigon during March 2009 reunion time frame. Of the 28 hotels in Saigon, all are SOLD OUT except: Omni Saigon Ho Chi Minh City 4 star rated $198 to 242 USD Caravelle Hotel 5 star rated $270 to 1200 USD Sofitel Plaza [...] Just a quick note to everyone. My sister Lynn, bother Bill and myself were all there during those years and my mother, Mildred Ahlgren, taught there in 1964. Lynn graduated afrom ACHS. Still have my Gecko yearbook although it’s starting to fall apart. Alice Ahlgren Blackburn I lived across the street from Westmoreland –actually it was General (Hangin’ Sam) Williams’ house and then (I think) Gen. Harkins’ while we were there (1959-61). Did Maile live there after me? Maile’s comments mirror my experience so closely! Look for an article soon about my recent return trips to Saigon~ Susie Stann We were in Saigon from 6/62 thru 6/64. There were three of us, Tim, Rick and myself. Tim graduated in ’64. We still keep in touch with a few people here in the D.C., N.C. and around.
