Sunday In Germany: Welcome to Burundi

While many of you, I know, have traveled outside of the U.S., most of your trips have been, I would guess, to Europe, perhaps South America and I know for certain, Southeast Asia. But how many of you have been to Africa? When I say Africa, I am referring to that area to the south of the Sahara Desert. My introduction to Africa was in 1977 when I became what was known as an African Rover with the State Department’s African Bureau. During my two years as a rover, I had 23 temporary assignments in 18 countries and that doesn’t include countries that I had to visit to made transfers.

Saigon Kids Home Movies

This is probably a long term project, but I thought I’d plant the seed with you now.

The idea is being kicked around of making a video comprised of old “Home Movies” taken by Saigon Kids’ parents while living in Saigon and Viet-nam back in the good old days of the 50s and 60s.

Kindergarten In Saigon

Okay Saigon Kids here’s the deal. I’m in contact with the husband of a girl who attended Kindergarten in Saigon during the time frame of 1963/64 ACS school year. But, ACS didn’t have kindergarten classes. So the questions is: What schools did the Kindergarten children attend.

Did any of you have younger brothers or sisters who attended kindergarten in Saigon? If so, where did they attend class.

As I’m sure you all have noticed, I reformatted our Blog and associated sites a couple months ago. Some of the reasons for doing so were to provide enhanced privacy and security for the Password protected areas of our sites.

On an average day we get around 400 Spammers/Hackers attempting to access protected areas of our sites. While I’ve always had programs in place to block them, they still persist – and will continue to do so as long as these sites are on the Internet. It goes with the turf, so to speak.
