When we arrived in Saigon in 1960 there were two Turkeys that were kept in the yard principally to eat the bugs which were numerous.
Some time with in the first year the female died. The male moped around for several months never strutting, etc. until two female turkeys arrived.
After that he always was strutting around with all of his feathers puffed out.
Tom…Thanks for sharing your turkey tale…Animals really make a huge difference in our lives…They make our stories much more interesting…Renee
Renee… Yes they are. My sister Sandy had a menagerie over there. Looking forward to reading your fathers book… Tom
