I found this picture in the collection of photos from the French journalist Francois Sully that are online thru the library at the Univ. of Massachusetts. It’s undated, but says it’s American Boyscouts at Nha Trang. I wonder if Harrison Shaffer is one of those pictured.

I made a trip to Nha Trang with my group Vulture Patrol in 1964. We traveled there in an Army Caribou and returned in a C-123. I don’t recognize these boys but there were about 30 to 40 who made the trip that summer.
The picture is from around 1968. The scout on the right is Wook Ree. I don’t recognize the scout on the left but I think the one in the middle might be Joe Wildhagen. More pics from this time period on my facebook page: “Scout Troop Saigon”
