In the late 1950’s and 1960 we called this swimming hole (and water buffalo washing pit) our ACS Olympic Swimming Pool. It was located across the road from the school. It always seemed to be in use by the local kids – swimming and washing water buffalo – just about anytime of the day you’d pass by it.
Did anyone from ACS actually swim in it. Not that I recall. But, I do seem to remember something about one afternoon before base ball practice someone trying to learn how to drive a motor cycle, going in on Father Crawford’s motor cycle, while trying to figure out how the brakes worked – LOL.
