As most of you know, I stayed in Germany following my retirement from the State Department’s Foreign Service and I don’t doubt some don’t ask “why in Germany, why not back in the US where most of us live.” Well, there is both a simple answer and a more complicated one as well. […] My Mom died on the 20th December 1991. Last year on the 20th my VA claim was accepted through what was called “Fast Track”. I found out about three weeks ago that “fast track” was shut down in August because they had caught up. […] by Cathie McIntyre (ACS) I never made it to Hue while living in Vietnam, but soon I will be there. In late December 2013 I will fly to Saigon for a few days before heading on to Hue where I will teach English for three months with NGO Hue Help. I am excited! |
