HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018 SAIGON KIDS

by Admin

2018 New Year has arrived with hopes anew for each of us. Wishing you, your family and loved ones a wonderful year ahead in 2018.

As the New Year dawns, I hope it is filled with the promises of brighter tomorrows for you.

Each year is a gift holding hopes for new adventures. May 2018 be filled with exploration, discovery and growth for you.

Even if our talks may lessen, our hellos and our stories as well, remember that, no matter what happens, my prayers and wishes for you will never fall short. May 2018 be your best year by far, and may it bring you endless joy and happiness.

I hope what you see in the mirror delights you, and what others see in you delights them. May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, and tell the world about your virtues.

Time is like a flowing river, no water passes beneath our feet twice, much like the river, moments never pass us by again, so cherish every moment that life gives you and have a wonderful 2018 and all the years to follow.

Best wishes to all SaigonKids from Idaho. Even though I don’t post much any more,I have nothing but wonderful memories of my teen years there those many years ago. My wife and I enjoy cruises (15, so far) and I hope a future port of call is what we knew as Saigon…and I hope that I cross paths with some of you someday. Meanwhile, I send you my best for happiness, good health, and the wisdom to appreciate all you’re blessed with. Happy New Year, everyone!

Bob, and all, please have a safe New Year. Then, after resting up, please have a safe Lunar New Year celebration.

Happy New Year to all Saigon Kids and your loved ones, May 2018 bring you good times and good health.
Bob, you are waxing poetic. A lovely message! Thanks for all you do to keep the connections going.
My holidays have been spent in Hoi An, Vietnam, where I was happy to use what little I remember of the Vietnamese language. Yesterday I arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia, to ring in the new year and spend a few days with friends.

Happy New Year to you, Bob! I can never sufficiently thank you for your friendship over the years and that is treasured. Wishing year 2018 will bring you and your family much happiness, prosperity and comfort.

Time flies so fast, or so it seems. Interestingly, I’ve just read that … “our biological clock slows as we age. With aging may come the slowing of our internal pacemaker. Relative to the unstoppable clocks and calendars, external time appears to pass more quickly. For a 5-year-old, one year is 20% of their entire life. For a 50-year-old, one year is only 2% of their life.” All this is new to me.

As for this coming Tet, for any SKs, if you were born in the years below, this is your year.

    The Year of the Dog: 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970…. tic…toc…

As we Saigon Kids approach upper middle age, I wish you all a very good 2018 with lots of joy, fun, travel, money, good health, and a new motorcycle. Seriously, all the very best to all of us N??c ch?m lovers.

    • Ken – *Upper Middle Age* … ?! First time I’ve heard this term. Is this now the politically correct way of saying … old, elderly, senior, etc. … LOL … 🙂

Happy New Year to all, those I have seen last year, and those I have not seen in years. May you all have a serene and healthy year. Than you Bob for keeping the fort. I hope you are doing well and that if we do have a reunion in the coming times you will be part of it.

I read somewhere that old, elderly, senior or upper middle aged has been replaced by “recycled teen agers”, That fits us rather well, don’t you think!

Love and hugs to you all. Mimi xxx
