LES IRRESISTIBLES – THE McMAINS BROTHERS

By Admin

After Saigon while living in Paris, where they attended American Community School Paris, the McMains brothers (Saigon Kids) formed the group *Les Irresistibles*.

I thought you might like listening to a sampling of their music.

*My Year Is A Day* was released in 1968 and went to #1 on the charts in France in 1969/70.

*Lands Of Shadow* released in 1968

Followed by *Peace Of Love* released in 1970.

I am sorry I missed this posting earlier this year. We were on an extended vacation and it got overlooked. Glad I found it today. What beautiful music, guys. I remember you when you were just little squirts in Saigon. During those days Bootsie was my best friend and I spent many slumber parties at your home. Thank you for getting me up to speed with your talent and music. It is no wonder France fell in love with your album. Great job..any chance there is an updated version?
My best to you, Jim, and the McMains boys.

  • Hi Jim:

Stumbled across some of the McMains brothers YouTube videos…… Absolutely fantastic!!!
Seeing the two of you brings back nothing but great memories. What an honor to have been in “Voices” with you and Moose and Billy at SC. Loved seeing you two in Carlsbad at Boar Cross N’
(several years ago now!!!!) Night Shift is still playing around San Diego…we’re playing about 50-60 per year….still great fun but this “getting old” is truly problematic….the equipment just keeps getting heavier and heavier!!!!! Love to hear from you and Moose.
