Curious as to how many folks remember when there was a bomb @ the field and how many were there?

I was in the US when the bomb incident happened although my dad was at the field at the time. As I recall my parents telling me, there were five bombs planted under the stands of which three blew up. My dad normally sat close to home plate but that particular evening he sat in another place with some friends and one of the bombs was right were he normally sat. We had a Chevy station wagon at the time and dad used it to convey wounded to the hospital. One of the things that was not noticed at the time was that the normal gang of local kids that were usually hanging around the field were absent that night…a clear indication that something was to happen but no one noticed it. So not all memories of Saigon are good ones but the good outnumber the bad in my book.
