by Jim Lou (ACS 1960-65)
I am new to this forum.
I was at ACS from 1960 to 1965, when I returned to US.
I was in 5th grade and I remember the 1st day of school. I don’t remember too much about my classmates. I was always an outsider, considering that I wasn’t a dependent. My parents split up and my mother returned to SVN (Cholon) with me (number 1 son) and my 2nd sister.
I ended up going to ACS by default since my Chinese was minimal. My Vietnamese didn’t exist. In order to continue my education it was decided that I would be enrolled at ACS.
From that point I was to be enrolled at ACS until the very end.
