Saigon Kids Home Movies

This is probably a long term project, but I thought I’d plant the seed with you now.

The idea is being kicked around of making a video comprised of old “Home Movies” taken by Saigon Kids’ parents while living in Saigon and Viet-nam back in the good old days of the 50s and 60s.

Interested??

Do any of you (or your parents) have any of those old 8mm and 16mm home movie camera films laying around some place?

If so, would you be willing to share them for the purpose of compiling them into a narrated video?

Talk about a step back in time – 🙂

I’ll put a sample of a 1963 home movie on the Blog in a few days.

In the mean time, please leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

Bob

[Note: For clarification purposes this project is not affiliated with Elvera Roussel’s documentary film. They are two separate independent projects. I just thought I’d mention it to prevent any potential confusion.]

Our father was an amateur photographer and I will have to go through his archives to see if we have any footage, I would assume we do. I am so interested in seeing what anyone has to share. I’ll work on it from my end too.

I am in possession of Mom and Dad’s slides from Saigon days, but as far as I know there were never any movies taken. Will check with David to verify that, though.
Again, you have come up with another great idea to recollect, share and preserve the good ol’ Saigon days.
    Thank you, Bob.
